The Zeitschrift für Altorientalische und Biblische Rechtsgeschichte (ZAR) publishes articles on all areas of law concerning the Ancient Orient, Judaism, and Christianity. Given this focus, it is the only academic publication medium worldwide that is indispensable to historians of law, researchers on cuneiform, bible scholars, and Judaists. The journal appears annually with about 350 pages, documenting in its review section the latest developments in the areas of ancient history of law and exegesis.
